If you don't know what lists are available, just go to http://groups.yahoo.com/ and put your areas of interest into the search feature. It should lead you to a variety of lists you can choose to join.

How To Join A List

Once you find a list that interest you, there will be directions to follow about how to join - or simply send a blank email to:

(List Name)-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Managing Your Emails From A List

Once you join a Yahoogroup cat list, you can manage how your receive your emails in "preferences". The choices are individual emails, digest or webmail. Webmail means you receive no emails at all - but can go to read the emails anytime on the web.

How To Receive Emails In Digest Form

If you don't want your cat emails mixed in with other emails or if you belong to several lists and want to keep their emails separate from one another, you can receive your emails from each list in a digest form. Instead of receiving individual emails, your receive a digest of 25 emails at a time. This makes for less individual items in your mailbox and allows you to follow specific topics more easily.

To subscribe to digest form,
sign into Yahoogroups.com and change your email preferences
or send a blank email to:

(List Name)-digest@yahoogroups.com

How To Suspend Emails Temporarily

Going on holidays? Want to receive no emails while you are gone, but you don't want to unsubscribe from the list? You can request that you receive no mail temporarily.

To suspend receiving emails,
sign into Yahoogroups.com and change your email preferences
or send a blank email to:

(List Name)-nomail@yahoogroups.com

Example: If you belong to the Fanciers Health List:

How To Return To Receiving Emails

Once you return and wish to start receiving emails again,
sign into Yahoogroups.com and change your email preferences
or send a blank email to:

Contact The Email Administrator

Occasionally you may want to contact the administrator/owner/moderator of a particular list. Send a blank email to:
