In addition to submitting your site to the various search engines, consider listing it with some of the cattery listing sites online. Ranging from free, to those that charge a monthly or annual fee, listed below are a few of sites you might consider.
PandEcats.com
If you are a breeder of Persian or Exotic Shorthairs, a listing in the PandEcats.com breeder index showcases your cattery to an audience of readers singularly interested in Persians and zots. PandEcats.com is an online magazine to which people can subscribe. Once a person subscribes to the website, listing in the Member directory is free.
ShowCatsOnline.com
ShowCatsOnline.com is a "sister" website to PandEcats, devoted to all breeds of pedigreed cats.
Absolutely Cats:
This site offers 2 levels of service. The basic service, for $18.00 per year, simply lists your cattery name under the appropriate breed, with a link to either your e-mail address or website address. The more deluxe service is $24.00 per year, and includes a 75 word description of your cattery and one photo - more photos may be added at the rate of $6/each.
Cat Craze :
This site has a monthly fee of $4.95, but with very few breeders listed so far. Listing includes cattery name, location, description, links to e-mail and website, and photograph.
Cats In Canada :
This site is limited to breeders in Canada. It has an annual fee of $30 Canadian.
Listing includes location and contact info, link to website, and one photo per breed.
Cattery Index :
This site is a brand new service, with currently very few listings. Listings are free, and include a short description, and website link.
Cattery Search:
This site has an annual membership fee of $25, with over 3,000 breeders listed. Listing includes location and contact info, website URL, and a photo. The site also has a free classifieds section.
Fanciers Plus :
This site offers 3 levels of service. A basic listing is free, and lists your cattery, name, location, and a link to your website. The "majestic" listing is $24.95 per year, and includes all of the basic information, as well as a description of your cattery, and up to 2 photos. The "display page" listing is $49.00 per year, and provides a full page layout with contact info, photos, and a link to your site, priority position in the directory, and 3 banner ads.
FBRL (Fanciers Breeder Referral List) :
This site was created in 1994, and is the oldest breeder listing site on the web. Annual listing is $50, and contains your name, location, cattery name, e-mail address, weblink, a short description, and a photo for each breed. The membership also allows listing of up to 3 cats at any time on the "Retired Friends" section, which has an excellent track record of placing retired show/breeding cats.
Kitty Sites :
This site offers 2 levels of service. The basic service is free, and simply lists your cattery name under the appropriate breed, with a link to either your e-mail address or website address. Deluxe listing is $30.00 per year, and includes a 100 word description of your cattery, contact information and one photo. Additional
breeds may be listed at $15/year.
Meowhoo :
This site offers several levels of service. A basic listing is free, and lists cattery name, location, e-mail address and website. They also offer 3 upgrade packages. The "enhanced" listing adds a border and larger font for the price of $19.95 per year. The "premium" listing adds a border, a highlight background and your logo or other image to the listing for the price of $39.95 per year. The "optimum" listing is the same as the premium listing, except you will be guaranteed a spot on the first page of the category, for the price of $49.95 per year.
Persian Cats.com :
This site is limited to Persian breeder listings. Listings are free, and display the cattery name, location, and links to e-mail and website.
